Ximending is an entertainment district in Taipei popular for its bars, restaurants, and street food. Many people go here to enjoy the night market and watch performances. Today, I'll share some of the food we tried, along with photos of what else you can expect when you go.
Ximending Night Market | Street Food
Some of the most crowded stalls include the ones that sell sausages, skewers, and fried chicken. You can find these in alleys where they blast loud music. That's usually where the good stuff is.

I think it's impossible to get hungry here hehe. There's just an abundance of options.

Fresh fruit and vegetable smoothies are also available.

I found the stinky tofu delicious with the sauce and veggies on top.

Some Yummy Favorites at the Night Market
Bafang Noodle 八方雲集 萬華漢口店
No. 56, Section 2, Hankou St, Wanhua District, Taipei City, Taiwan 108
I’ve already mentioned this in my other Ximending post, but it’s worth repeating that Bafang Noodle Restaurant is worth visiting. The food is good, and the prices are reasonable. They also have a condiment section for sauces, chili oil, and garlic paste.

Fried Chicken & Fried Squid 家鄉碳烤雞排
No. 4, Lane 50, Section 2, Wuchang St, Wanhua District, Taipei City, Taiwan 108
Just copy and paste the Taiwanese text on your navigation app to get directions, and once you get there, you’ll find more great stalls to get food from.
We tried the famous big fried chicken, which was so tasty. For 100 NTD, I think it's worth it. 10/10. I like how they slice it into pieces and give you a stick so you can have it while walking. It's also a good dinner option. Since the serving size is good for two people, you can order one chicken, and then get rice or bread from 7-Eleven.

I also liked the squid, it's just as juicy and tastes good with rice! You can buy rice from 7-Eleven if you want to have it for dinner. Nakakabusog na sya. 10/10.

Yu Shi Fu Sheng Jian Bao
171 Xining Road, Wanhua District, Taipei City, Taiwan 108 (right across the New Balance store)
In Shinjuku Plaza, we got to try some yummy baby buns. It’s called Yu Shi Fu Sheng Jian Bao. The buns they sell have different fillings (vegetables, meat, or a mix of both), and they are good afternoon snacks. It also seems healthier to eat. 8/10. Oh, and this is also close to the popular Crispy Milk Donuts. It's just on the side if you want to try them.

Man Han Beef Noodle Eatery 满汉牛肉面食堂
No. 22, Lane 50, Section 2, Wuchang St, Wanhua District, Taipei City, Taiwan 108
This eatery is along Lane 50 (Section 2) in Wuchang Street, on the ground level, just below Just Amazing Restaurant. It's (kind of) hidden, but it's in the same alley where they sell big fried chicken/squid, sausages, and skewers.

Others, Coffee & Tea
Presotea is ideal if you are looking for something affordable. They have a lot of options, and they’ve got cute packaging as well (Sanrio characters).

If you prefer something nicer, I would recommend Comebuytea, which offers healthier milk tea and coffee options. They have these cool Teaspresso machines and grinders.

Of course, how can I not include Xing Fu Tang, hehe. Their classic Brown Sugar Boba Milk really tastes good. Nice and fresh. They also have free milk tea fans (perfect for hot days). There's usually a queue here, but if you go before lunch, the line is shorter.
