My husband and I were looking for a hotel I could stay at when I arrive in Manila. Originally, the plan was to get a room at Bayprime (we’ve always had the best experience here), but for a change, I ended up staying at Kingsford- also because I got curious and wanted to see what they have to offer. Today, I’ll share my honest experience about this hotel.

Kingsford Hotel Manila in Parañaque City

Kingsford Hotel Manila is one of the many accommodation options near the Ninoy Aquino International (NAIA) airport. It's right in front of Okada, and is close to a lot of malls. According to what I found online, they opened in 2021 and have been operating since.

First Impressions and Experience

I arrived at around 9 AM, and there were many guests in the lobby. I’m not sure if there was some conference, but since there was no place for me to sit and wait, I left my luggage first. I then went to Ayala Malls Manila Bay, did some shopping at Watsons, and then came back at 2 PM.

The check-in process was quick, and the front desk officers were polite. I think they did a great job, considering the number of people who were checking in and out at that time. Hotel customer service is 10/10.

Rooms and Layout

Here’s the room, it’s a Double Superior Queen, and it actually looks great. The bed was also very comfortable, and the pillows were soft. However, soundproofing was bad. I could clearly hear what the people in the other room were talking about. They were not even shouting. Also, for a 4-star hotel, the TV was small, and the remote control was quite faulty.

The faucet in the restroom was also broken, so I called the front desk to have it fixed, and they sent a maintenance person. It was fixed temporarily, but came off again the next morning.

Food

I tried their in-room dining, and the food was delicious. I got congee and tocino. Both were filling and reasonably priced.

Amenities and Facilities

They have a swimming pool, a bar, a gym, and a sauna area on the 6th floor with a view of the city (and Okada Manila).

Kingsford Hotel is close to Okada Manila, Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Parqal Mall, Solaire Resort & Casino, and Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

The Verdict

Honestly, the service is great. It’s really just the state of the room I was given that kind of put me off.

If you’re only looking for someplace to spend the night before a long flight, I think this is okay. But for staycations, there are other hotels in the area I would recommend. With this, I think I’d give it a score of 7/10.
