The Puerto Princesa series continues.
Today, I'll take you to the city's baywalk and show you around. It's a beautiful place. We went here twice. First, on a hot weekday afternoon, to have lunch after going to church. And second, on a weekend, for the firefly watching tour.
Based on our experience, it is best to visit the Puerto Princesa City Baywalk Park in the afternoon (around 4 PM) because that's when most stores and restaurants open.

Puerto Princesa Cathedral
The church we visited is called the Puerto Princesa Cathedral (Immaculate Conception Cathedral), and it’s not too far from the baywalk. If you want to attend mass or stop by to pray, it only takes around 10 minutes.

Puerto Princesa City Baywalk Park
On our first visit to the Baywalk Park, we had lunch at Lato Coffee & Restaurant (this was the only establishment open at that time). They offer Filipino dishes and also have an in-house cafe where you can get coffee. It was nice here. We got kinilaw and labong with rice. Yum!

As I said, it's better to go in the afternoon (or at night) because you'll appreciate the area more when it's vibrant. You'll find families making memories, kids playing, some locals doing Zumba, groups having dinner, and just everyone having a good time.

I took a photo with the drink kiosk because it looked cute; this is where we got our drinks. They sell instant cold beverages (if you want proper coffee or milk tea, I suggest you visit local cafes instead).

The baywalk park is also a meet-up and pick-up point for activities like Firefly Watching.

Firefly Watching Activity
One of the activities you can book in Puerto Princesa is a Firefly Watching activity. Many operators offer this, but we opted for the one organized by Corazon Travel and Tours.
Hotel pick-ups (free of charge) are available for those who are staying within Puerto Princesa downtown, but there is an option for you to meet your guide at the City Baywalk Park, since that’s where the boat will be departing from anyway.
Okay, so now, for the experience, I think it was great; there were just fewer fireflies than we expected. It was still cool though, and the boat ride was relaxing.

For dinner, we had Filipino food. There was meat, seafood, fruits, and some vegetables. Delicious! I kept coming back for the salads and the eggplants.

That would be all. Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to check out the links below for more Puerto Princesa entries.
