Sometimes we delay taking action because we think we need to have everything figured out right away (or have specific things) to start- but, if we keep doing that, we could end up wasting time and not begin at all. One thing I realized about pursuing something is that analyzing everything down to the last detail can paralyze us and keep us in the same place. Others call this analysis paralysis, while some refer to it as (a form of) procrastination.
Start Where You Are, Use What You Have, Do What You Can
I was going through one of my notebooks earlier this afternoon and went through an old checklist of big/small goals. I'm happy and proud of myself for having checked a lot of boxes, but I couldn't help but look at the ones I missed. Because, honestly, I could have worked on them too if I wanted to (and if I had used the tools available to me). I think I got too distracted with other things, and I definitely learned from that.
So anyway, the point is, it’s good to take a closer look at our available resources, and work with the ones we can while we have them.

Start where you are
You know the saying, “just start”? That pretty much sums up this line. Just go ahead and do it. Taking the first step may feel daunting at times, but it gets better after that.
Use what you have
This part isn’t just about your financial/material resources but also about your personal strengths, like your skills, talents, and know-how. Putting these to good use will help you make progress and practice resourcefulness.
Do what you can
Now that you’ve started and have a higher awareness of your capabilities and your resources, it’s time to do what you can. I think once you’ve figured out the first two parts, taking action is easier because there’s already some direction laid out.
Questions to ask yourself:
What are the top three things I want to accomplish this quarter?
What resources do I currently have that can help me reach my goals?
What’s stopping me from starting?
How good can things get if I start now?
That’s it for today. And oh, take this blog post as a sign to start where you are, use what you have, and do what you can 💜
I'm sure you've got better things to do (other than reading this), but something must have led you here. I wish you all the best, and I hope you have a wonderful day!
