First of all, hi! Thanks for being here. I hope you're safe and dry this typhoon season. It's been gloomy the past few days, and it's also been raining a lot. Make sure you take care whenever you go out.

Anyway, I just wanted to do a quick Life Lately post for today, so here we go.

EuroXtreme Circus at Arcovia in Pasig City

Upon learning that EuroXtreme is going to have a show in Arcovia, we booked tickets for the first show right away (and got a 20% discount). We've heard about this touring circus group in the past, so we were excited to see them perform live in our city.

So ayun na nga. The show was amazing! It lasted for more than two hours, and they had a good variety of stunts/funny antics. They had a clown, a set of dancers, and a ringleader who also engaged with the audience during breaks or while setting up equipment. Medyo iba yung humor ng clown pero nakakatawa naman haha.

Everything was enjoyable to watch, but my favorite part was the Flying Trapeze show. It was so exciting! I can watch them fly for hours. Galing nila! Watching them made me curious about their lives as circus performers, so I ended up checking videos on YouTube after the show. All I can say is wow. I admire the dedication.

The Globe of Terror and Wheel of Death were also thrilling to watch (though I am not a fan of the names, lol). The Globe of Terror is the one where three motorcycle riders go around the globe all at the same time, while the Wheel of Death is the one that looks like a hamster wheel, except there are people on it.

Overall, I'd say it's worth it. Great performances from the EuroXtreme Circus team.

Rainy Days

It is during times like these when I feel extra grateful that my husband and I work from home. We’ve been experiencing heavy rains and thunderstorms for weeks now; this is not exactly the best time to travel or move around. I feel for those who are still required to go to work despite the flooding in some areas. It is not easy. Sana payagan na mag work from home yung iba kasi delikado din. Malaka kasi hangin, tapos kelangan pa sumugod sa baha pag nasa low-lynig area ka. We've experienced knee-level flooding during super typhoons in the past. I can imagine the hassle. Aside from the extensive cleanup required after the flooding, construction and electrical repairs also have to be done (these can be costly). Yung flood control systems din sana bigyang pansin, malaki laki din budget diba. Di na natapos tapos mga projects huhu baka dapat masubukan nila mag swimming or mag floating sa baha.

Date Night with Mama & Sis

For our Sunday night activity, we had a girls-only movie night at a nearby cinema (while my dad and hubby watched a game). We watched Jurassic World Rebirth, which we enjoyed because Mama kept laughing and reacting to the scenes. Natatawa sya sa mga dinosaurs, tapos nagugulat sa sound effects hahaha kami naman naaaliw sa kanya lol.

For dinner, we had Vietnamese food at Pho Hoa (one of Mama’s faves) and then went home after that.

Other Things

As you’ve already noticed, there’s so much going on everywhere at the moment: earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, floods, and wildfires. They have become stronger and more frequent these days. War is also taking place as I write this and as you read.

Are we living in the end times? If you look closely and pay attention, it seems to be the case with all the signs. It feels like Mother Nature is saying, "payback time", or perhaps, our creator is coming back. But the things is, no one truly knows. The best thing to do is to pray, spend time with our loved ones, and live our lives. Walang kasiguruhan ang buhay natin. We are all passersby in this world. Okay, ayoko na masyado mag talk, baka humaba pa lalo hehe.

Purple

Most of the items on my desk are in my favorite color, Purple. I love it. It's so relaxing to look at and appeals to me. If I were a color, I'd be Purple. What would you be?
