Hello, hello. Today, I’ll take you to another spot in Puerto Princesa where you can buy snacks or stop over to rest. The place is called Baker’s Hill, and it’s like a small park that has restaurants, food stalls, a bakery, a playground, and cute characters you can take photos with.

If you’re going to Mitra’s Ranch, you might as well visit Baker’s Hill while you’re in the area because it only takes a few minutes to get there. Just book a car or a tricycle using Backride Palawan.

The first thing you’ll see as you enter is a set of hung wooden signs that have heartbreak quotes/jokes on them. We found this a bit odd, but maybe these were meant to get the attention of visitors- you know, for them to have something to laugh about (some were sad, but funny, though).

As you walk further, you will see the snack bars, as well as the way to the recreational area where you can find the playground, the peacocks, more statues, and a covered walkway with stone chairs. They have quite an interesting mix of things to see here.

Many people stop here to get *pasalubong or take a break before continuing with their activities for the day. They have delicious products! The chocolate crinkles are a must-buy. I highly recommend it if you have a sweet tooth. And speaking of crinkles, it is interesting how they taste like the ones we used to have as kids in Manila, from Ribonette's Bakeshoppe.
*Pasalubong is a Tagalog word that refers to gifts or souvenirs that Filipinos bring home after local or international travels.

Take Photos with Characters You Grew Up With
There are plenty of concrete characters you can take photos with, and some of these are very familiar- they have Shrek, Fiona, Donald Duck, other members of the Looney Tunes gang, Marilyn Monroe, a Baker’s Hill superhero, the seven dwarves, and more!

Us with Fiona and Shrek. Ayan guys, nagpalitan kami ng mga asawa nila Shrek and Fiona hahaha. Ang cute pala ng baby nila ah, naka thumbs up pa, lol.

Saw these floating flowers on our way to the play, pretty!

I’m not sure what you call this thing, but it reminds me of a Japanese game show called Hole in the Wall- the one where contestants have to follow the shape of the cutouts to win. We had fun trying it out for photos hehe.

That would be all for today. I hope you have a great time when you visit Baker's Hill in Puerto Princesa. Feel free to check other articles on the site for more reviews, guides, or musings. Thank you!
