Treating yourself to a day of pampering is always a good idea. If you’re looking for another product to include in your home facial, you might want to check this out. It’s a peel-off mask from SpaScriptions that I got as a gift (along with the meditation journal) from my cousin Clarisse. Keep reading to know more about it.

Packaging & Product Claims

The product comes in a 150 mL squeeze tube which makes it easy to open and close. It claims to “dissolve and dislodge the build-up of impurities” by allowing its gel-based formula to reach deep within the pores. What the formula contains: Green tea, witch hazel, cucumber, chamomile, tea tree, salicylic acid, aloe vera & vitamin E, infusions of Gold, and vitamin C.

Price & Availability

You can get this product or the Gold variant from Shopee for only 590 PhP (around $12USD, or $16AUD, or $16SGD). It’s also available on Amazon, Walmart, and EBay. The product is effective, and you only need a modest amount for it to work, so rest assured that the product is worth it.

Ingredients & Usage

If you have sensitive skin or are allergic to the following ingredients, I do not recommend that you buy this product: Polyvinyl alcohol, alcohol, talc, tocopherol, witch hazel extract, cucumber fruit extract, butylene glycol, kaolin, tea tree leaf oil, glycerin, zea mays corn kernel meal, chamomile flower extract, aloe vera leaf juice, pvp (polyvinylpyrrolidone), ginger root oil, ascorbic acid, mica (for shimmer effect), salicylic acid, green tea leaf extract, lactobacillus ferment, peg-40 hydrogenated castor oil, gold powder, acrylates copolymer, carbomer, triethanolamine, and dipotassium glycyrrhizate.

My Thoughts

I’ve tried similar masks before, but they weren’t as good as this. I think what made me enjoy this product is the seamless experience of taking off the mask. I like how there’s no need for me to rinse it off with water because it clings well to the skin and peels perfectly. It effectively removes whiteheads in the nose and chin area, or wherever you have it, I guess. The shimmer adds a relaxing and luxurious feel, too, making up for the funny scent of the product (reminds me of liquor). On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being the highest), I’d give this a rating of 8. Definitely recommended.

Note: If you’re sensitive to pain, do know that peeling off the mask is quite painful. Do it gently.
