A Cute Little Christmas Village for the Holidays

Hey there! Christmas is around the corner. Have you started prepping your home for the holidays yet? 🎄

Our Christmas Village | Life Lately (Philippines)

In the Philippines, Christmas starts as soon as we enter the Ber months, so it was not unusual to prepare for the occasion as early as September. I started putting up decorations in October, though.

The idea was to keep things simple but still a bit festive, so I threw in a few garlands, a Christmas wreath, some pine cones around the living area, sparkly socks, and Christmas-themed pillowcases.

We also hung a Santa Claus that looks so cute when you turn the switch on (it climbs up and down the rope). I've always been fond of Christmas. I have a lot of great childhood memories that took place during this time of the year. We had simple traditions that made us look forward to it. Some of these included decorating our tree, packing candy bags to give away, singing Christmas carols, and staying up late for Noche Buena. There were also a lot of parties and games. Great times.

Now that I'm an adult and married, I want to continue making good memories with my husband using what I've learned from my parents over the years- finding joy in the simplest things and having a family tradition (it does leave a mark that you appreciate more in adulthood). With that, Hubs and I agreed to make our own Christmas village ✨

Our Little Christmas Village

This year, we opted for a small Christmas tree that can go on our living room table. I found a cute one online, and it was beautiful. We just added decorations to make it more lively. This 22-inch tree became the centerpiece of our tiny town.

Our little Christmas village

What’s in the Little Village?

We have a tree, a church, houses, snowmen, lovers, trains, lanterns, and pinecones.

As you can see, it’s nothing fancy, but it does make our living space more Christmasy. It's also fun to play with the houses sometimes.Naglaro na pala no?? Hehe.

For the base, Ivory faux fur was the best choice since our table is close to the fan (fake snow decor can be messy). The fur is from Beau Galleria. It’s so nice, I plan to get another in a different color.

In the middle, we have a figurine of the Holy Family during the birth of Jesus, which perfectly captures the essence of Christmas.

The tiny houses and shops are the highlight of this village, look how lovely they look ❤️

Tiny Christmas houses for your Christmas village

Over here, we have an ice cream store and a gift shop. There are other designs aside from these. You can get a fire station, a mini park, a carousel, and more bungalow houses in different styles. I looove the details.

To make the village more homey, we added two wooden trains in Red and Green. Look at the snowmen on board! And their tiny hats, huhu. Cuteness overload.

Here's the Red version of the same train. And oh, we also have snowmen and mini lanterns that create a relaxing candlelight effect. It looks perfect when it's lit up in the dark. You'll love it.

Lastly, we have a couple sitting cutely on a bench.

You can get everything online. I've attached the Shopee product links in case you want to purchase them (no worries, they are all safe!).

That would be all for today. Happy Holidays 🎅
