Today, I’ll do a quick review of Maybelline’s SuperStay Lumi Matte Foundation and the SuperStay 30-hour Flex Powder Foundation. Please note that I am not a makeup expert, just a regular consumer who uses makeup when going out.
So…let’s go!

Maybelline SuperStay Lumi Matte Foundation
Let’s start with the liquid foundation. First of all, I purchased this out of curiosity when I saw it on the shelves and felt like trying something new. That turned out to be good for me because it suited my skin well, and I’m already on my fourth bottle now.

I’ve used L’Oreal’s Infallible Matte foundation (amazing coverage but can be drying), Ever Bilena’s Flawless Pro (nice coverage but I had some breakouts), Shiseido’s Synchro Skin (the best but a bit pricey for me long-term), and Maybelline’s FitMe (classic favorite)- all of which are nice, but this, for me, gave the best value for money. I like how it glides on my skin. A bottle also costs under a thousand pesos.
Here’s the packaging. It comes in a glass bottle with a Lavender cap. I love it! Simple, but it looks good. Not to mention, Purple is my favorite color.

Claims
No caking and patchiness
Lasts for 30 hours
Resists sweat and transfer
With Lightwear technology (provides a weightless feel)
Suitable for all skin types- dry, sensitive, oily, combination

On the website, they recommend using one to two full pumps. As for me, I do one and a half. That already gives me good coverage. And in fairness, it does feel light on the skin- no heavy feeling. I guess this is also why I ended up purchasing the product repeatedly. While it does oxidize over time, it doesn't look cakey and still gives off that fresh vibe.

Maybelline SuperStay 30H Flex Powder Foundation
Claims
5-in-1: Mattifying, blurring, smoothing, covering, and long-lasting
Crease-proof for 30 hours
Packaging
A cute and compact Purple case with a built-in mirror and a separate compartment for the sponge.

This powder foundation has a matte finish and gives my skin a smoother look when used alongside the SuperStay Lumi Matte Foundation. I also wear it on its own sometimes. Highly recommended for those who want a matte, clear skin look.

Maybelline Shade Guide | Powders and Foundations
Here's a guide you can use as a reference.

Shades I use
For reference, I have light brown skin and use Maybelline’s products in the shade 228. Well, I used to buy 228, but after consulting their attendants at the mall, they advised me to get 128 because it suits my skin better.
Overall, these two products are worth every peso and also work well together. Both the liquid foundation and powder provide good coverage without getting cakey or feeling heavy on the skin. They can also cover dark spots and pigmentation.
That's it for today, thanks for stopping by 🙂
