Musings from 2020 #ReadyFor2021
First of all, happy new year!!! 🎉 I hope you had a meaningful celebration with the people you love.
As the title reads, today’s post will be about a few musings from last year, and since I don’t want to make this post longer than it already is, let’s start now! Shall we?
On LIFE | Life is What we Make It
“All that we are is a result of what we have thought…a man’s life is the direct result of his thoughts”.
Wherever we are right now, whatever we have, whoever we’re with, we attracted it to us by the power of our thoughts ♥
I used to think, as a young kid, that life just happens to us. I was running on autopilot, unknowingly succumbing to (mostly negative) programming from the media I consumed. I also left some things to fate, not realizing during those early years that relying on divine timing alone won’t do much; our actions and decisions determine our destiny. Fortunately, things have changed now and I’m designing my life the way I want it to be. Of course, I still mess up every now and then, but we all learn as we go on.
We are always manifesting what we feel and think about, most especially on the subconscious level. Our reality shapes itself based on our thoughts. Outer conditions always reflect what’s truly inside. Constantly attracting bad luck, misery, or unhealthy relationships indicate negative thought patterns in the subconscious (the mind’s storage area that operates without our awareness). On the other hand, gravitating towards favorable situations and meaningful relationships show that you’re doing something right. You’re either a natural optimist or are consciously guarding your mind and allowing only thoughts of love, health, wealth, and success. ♥
On LOVE | We attract who We Are
“When the soul is ready, the mate will appear”
Our partners reflect not only our standards; but ourselves as beings as well. We attract who we are. If you’re single and want to be with someone who loves and treats you well, you must value yourself. If you’re currently taken and would like to transform your relationship for the better, improve yourself and your thinking; the rest will follow ♥
I’ve had my heart broken a few times before, but I always knew I’d meet the right man for me; I just didn’t know when and how. Years before I met my fiancé, I wrote affirmations in my journal, visualized, and prayed for a soulmate. After that, I just went on with my life and allowed the universe to work its magic. Fast forward to today, my partner and I are happily engaged (we met at a time when I thought I was too busy for love). We also enjoy a private and meaningful relationship built on the right foundations. Of course, like any other couple, we have our own set of challenges, but thanks to the passing of time and circumstance, we’ve learned how to course through rough seas with love and respect. This relationship is definitely worth the long wait. ♥
On HEALTH | Health really is Wealth
“It is health that is real wealth, not pieces of silver and gold”
I don’t think we've ever been more concerned with health and hygiene than after the pandemic. It showed us how fast things can change, how short life is, and how important it is to value our physical, mental, and emotional health. We sure need a healthy mind, body, and spirit to enjoy life to the fullest ♥ This year, while I spent most of my time cultivating my mind (through reading, meditation, writing, etc.), I kind of slacked on physical exercise. That’s why this year, I’m doing my best to balance it out to make sure that I stay in good shape. Thinking about our current setup, I realized it has become more important to make time for physical exercise. Our home-based lifestyles may be allowing us to earn more without having to leave our homes, but it’s also making it easier for us to neglect our bodies in the name of work.
With that, I’ll definitely be watching Koboko Fitness videos again. I’m also looking forward to cooking healthier meals this coming 2021. I’m no expert but I love cooking! I find it fun and relaxing, most especially when I do it for my loved ones; it’s one of the ways I show affection as well. Going back, I'm already claiming great health for you this year, dear reader. ♥
On FAMILY | It's the Greatest Gift from God “Family is not an important thing, it’s everything”
No words can describe how thankful I am to be part of my family. My sisters and I are forever grateful to have been born to wonderful parents who love each other. We owe it to them for building strong pillars for the family and for giving us a good life. They’re simply the best. They’ve always been loving and family-oriented; they’ve always put us first, before their jobs or anything else.
Spoiling us with material items was never their thing, but they gave us time and unconditional love. Growing up, we never had to beg for our parents’ time and attention; they always gave it to us readily without hesitation. They taught by example and showed us through their actions that time is the greatest gift you can give to anyone. So cheers to my parents, Albert and Joanne! Of course, cheers to yours as well!
You may have heard it before, but it’s worth repeating that family is forever.♥
